Top 10 Tuesday #2: Characters I’d switch places with

Hi all!

My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.

Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesdays. We did this last week and I enjoyed writing it out so much that I have decided to do this one … and basically all the topics that peak my interest. This week’s topic, as the title suggests, is Character’s I’d switch places with.

Have you ever been reading and thought … oh, i love that character so much I want to be them, I want to fall in love with that character. Yeah? Me too!

Except… I usually want to be the character who get themselves into lots of trouble and see how I get myself out of said trouble! Yes, that is what an insane person would do, but I never said hat I was sane … probably that world will never apply to me.

Alright before I forget some general housekeeping … Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

So … let’s start!

(Just so you know this list is in adsoltuely no order at all)

Number 1: Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson series)

Annabeth … what to say about Annabeth. I’ve always seen myself in Annabeth a bit and I would like to be more like her in some ways. I think she is brilliant for the way that she bosses Percy about and keeps everybody in check. She is also a bit of a Bookworm… and we all must love Bookworms.

Number 2: Princess Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo (Princess Diaries Series)

What little girl doesn’t dream of waking up to find she’s a princess? I know it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Mia but I would still be in her shoes most day than my own.

Number 3: Cameron Morgan (Gallagher girls series)

If you don’t dream of becoming a spy then surely you dream of becoming a spy? Of traveling around the world in daring adventures. I surely did and this series always fulfils my spy needs.

Number 4: Alex (Magnus Chase series)

I love Alex. I think she is amazing and brilliant independent person. An example to all young people that just being yourself is that most you need to do in this life.

Number 5: Robert Langdon (Robert Langdon series)

I don’t quite know why I put Robert in this list, but he is here and I am rather glad that I did. He is an interesting character and someone whose brain I would like to be inside. I bet it would be rather busy and informative in there.

Number 6: Hermione Granger (Harry Potter series)

Hermione … Did any of you not expect Hermione not to appear in this list? I used to do a wonderful impression of Hermione at school with my hand in the air and bouncing on the edge of my seat. I didn’t realise I was doing a Hermione impression if I’m honest.

Number 7: Diana Bishop (All Souls Trilogy)

I have loved Diana since the moment I started reading the first book and I am (at the time of writing this) about twenty pages into book 2. I still think she is wonderful and I love how she fan girls overall the amazing people from history she meets or that she finds out that Matthew has known through out his life.

Number 8: Chloe Saunders (Darkest Powers trilogy)

I think I’ve mentioned Chloe a few times in recent posts. She is a wonderful character who goes through such transformation without ever really changing at all. But by the end is is still meek little Chloe but she has a lot more backbone when needed. She doesn’t need to let Derek or Simon or anyone else fight her battles for her but she also has the knowledge that they can help and that she better part of a team than alone.

Celaena Sardothian (Throne of Glass series)

So, I’ve not read much about Celaena but I know that I love her guts and bravado and I want to experience her life first hand. I’m not all that sold on the idea of being an assassin but it wouldn’t hurt to try! (jokes)

Paige Winterbourne (Women of the Otherworld series)

I was slightly stuck here choosing between Paige and Elena in this series. Both deal with their fair share of diversity and problems but Think I would rather be a witch than deal with Elena’s daily pain of transforming into a werewolf.

So … I believe that is ten, ten of the many characters I would willingly swap places with.

Until next time, my name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.
