The Mister review.

Hi all!

My name is Chiara Copeland and I am a Bookworm.

So here I am ready to review E.L.James’ most recent book … The Mister

Of course I have read Fifty Shades and I was intrigued to see what she had created this time. I must say her reputation does impact some of the reading experience. I was constantly questioning what was going to happen would she live up to her other books or was this just going to be a ‘tame’ adult romance.

I shan’t spoil which of the options it was but I was not overall impressed. This story with better writing could be worth so much more. Her writing style seems to be lacking something, and I think this is further proof that the publishing world has just found out that sex sells … and James’ name is attached to that.

On the other hand, I did read this book in just two sittings. I has a very light weight readable quality. If you are looking for a something to bury your nose in when you are sun bathing on your holiday you will find this the perfect read.

I don’t know whether this point is positive or negative but in some way I am disappointed that this book is only going to be a stand alone. The story has so much potential I am just not convinced that James has the skill to take it there. My one wish for this book is for it to be written by another author, for someone who could take this further to really deliver the story, and series, that I know this could be.
