Confessions of a Bookworm: Bookmarks

Hi all my ladies and Bookworms!

My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.

How are you all doing? Reading some good books I hope!

Today I want to talk about book marks.

At least once a year I get really invested in using/buying bookmarks. I get fancy bookmarks and use them for the duration for about half a book.

In fact I own a pile of bookmarks where you can write on what book you’re reading, when you started, keep progress of how much you’re reading and when you finish. I don’t think I’ve ever used one of those till the end of a book.

When I’m not using ‘proper’ bookmarks I either dog-ear the pages (Forgive, please!) or I use what ever is to hand. When I come out of Waterstones and I start reading I usually just put the receipt in. Or before now I’ve used post cards. In the middle of one of my books I still have the bookmark which was one of my revision cards when I was at university.

My current book has my ‘Go Outdoors’ membership card in the middle of it currently.

Do you have weird bookmarks? Tell me about them…

  1. I don’t have any bookmarks which means I would often get lost and forget what part of the book I’m at. My partner recently introduced me to using the sleeve of a book to mark the page (I mostly only read hardcovers) so I’ve been doing that. I also update my progress on Goodreads every time I read so if I forget I can just check my account.
