Hi all!

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great! How long ago was it that I read this? I finished it during my hiatus so its been at least a few weeks.
My overall feeling of this book, looking back on it is how much I loved it. It was once again a view into a different way of life. It’s not just a different culture, though it certainly is … reading about some of these characters is like viewing an alien species. There is no way that I could live like this … well, I probably could … but would I want to?
The book follows once again Rachel and Nick and begins at their wedding. When I read that wonderful line in the synopsis of the book I immediately went back to Crazy Rich Asians and thumbed through the final few pages a I tried to work out what I’d missed. Wedding? In the last book we hadn’t even had a proposal … Rachel and Nick … wait I can’t write that … SPOILER! If you want my review of the previous book follow the link above. But the proposal and wedding happens a couple of years later after the end of the previous book.
I wish we hadn’t missed Nick’s proposal … I’m sure it would have been epic.
Over the journey of the book we meet some wonderful new characters and a few familiar faces resurface … much to Nick and Rachel’s delight … and chagrin.
I love that we see so much of the story from alternative points of view. We follow Nick and Rachel, Eleanor, Kitty, Astrid, Eddie and so many more characters. Occasionally a scene would be told from a completely random person’s point of view and you never hear from that person again, but then again I thought I had another character like that and she becomes an integral part of the story. I think it’s great that there is so much going on and you never quite know how it all fits together … not completely, even at the end of the book. (And I’m saying this having read the final book). That’s a good thing, trust me … the surprise is well worth the wait. The only downside I have for this is that, while reading it, you feel like you’re missing out on some of the suspense of the book … until it is all slammed on you right near the end.
I still love Astrid, Nick and Rachel … they will always hold a special place in heart and be favourite characters … but if I have to pick a favourite character of the new characters that we met in this series if would be Carlton. I really feel for the character… in certain ways he’s created his own messes but he paying for them and it was an accident and he needs to learn how to forgive himself .
I think that may be all I have to say for this review. I’ll review Rich People Problems the next and final book in the series and then I want to do a review of the series as a whole. I don’t know how that will go … but I want to give it ago.
Have you read this book? Let me know what you think in the comments down below …
One of these days I need to read this series. Thanks for the reminder!
