Hi all my amazing ladies and gentle-worms
What you all up to?
My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.
First things first …
MERRY CHRISTMAS
I’ve seen this tag around a few times over the past few weeks and I thought it was about time that I have a go.
If I listed all the places that I saw it we would be here forever … but I do believe that I saw it first at Misty’s Book Space and it was originally created by Ariel Bissett and here are the questions …
Are there any books you started this year that you want to finish?
Oh … soooooooooo many, about as many as there are O’s in that so.
Here are just a few …
Girl of Paper and Fire Natasha Ngan
Empire of Storms Sarah J Maas
Onyx and Ivory Mindee Arnett
In Paris with You Clémentine Beauvais
Do you have any autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
I don’t normally have seasonal reads. I am much more of a mood reader. But, though it as set predominantly in the summer, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz seemed to be my transitional read.
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
There are alway books I am waiting for. New releases from this year include
Ninth House Leigh Bardugo
American Royals Katharine McGee
The Fowl Twins Eoin Colfer
What are three books you want to finish before the end of the year?
Well … anything that is on my to-be-finished list. That’s all I ask for from the reading gods.
Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas maybe … though it is competing with the rest of the series and some pretty amazing other books.
The other contender is In Paris With You by Clémentine Beauvais. If you haven’t read it, or don’t know it, look it up. It appears amazing so far.
Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?
It doesn’t seam normal yet writing 2020, then again it took me till May this year to get used to writing 2019.
No I haven’t really made any plans for next year. Slowly I’m putting together a list of books that will be release this year that I want to get. And I’m thinking about my reading target. This year I wasn’t very diligent about keeping track but of the books I have taken note of, I’m up to 31. So I think I’ll keep it the same at 52 and challenge myself to read more than I have this year.
As for who I’m tagging … if you want to have a go … have at it!
