Can’t Wait Wednesday #2

Hi all my Bookworms!

My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.

How are you all?

I really enjoy the last Can’t Wait Wednesday so I decided to make this a more regular thing.  I can’t promise I’ll do this every week, but I’ll try to do this at least twice a month.

I’ve got a great looking book by a debut author that I can’t wait to share with you, but first, a little housekeeping.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Now down to this week’s book.

Something To Talk About by Meryl Wilsner Something To Talk AboutGoodreads | Waterstones

E-book release date: 26th May 2020

Paperback release date: 18th June 2020

Blurb: A showrunner and her assistant give the world something to talk about when they accidentally fuel a ridiculous rumour in this debut romance.
Hollywood powerhouse Jo is photographed making her assistant Emma laugh on the red carpet, and just like that, the tabloids declare them a couple. The so-called scandal couldn’t come at a worse time–threatening Emma’s promotion and Jo’s new movie.
As the gossip spreads, it starts to affect all areas of their lives. Paparazzi are following them outside the office, co-workers are treating them differently, and a “source” is feeding information to the media. But their only comment is “no comment”.
With the launch of Jo’s film project fast approaching, the two women begin to spend even more time together, getting along famously. Emma seems to have a sixth sense for knowing what Jo needs. And Jo, known for being aloof and outwardly cold, opens up to Emma in a way neither of them expects. They begin to realize the rumour might not be so off base after all…but is acting on the spark between them worth fanning the gossip flames?

I can’t wait to read this book … it looks brilliant!

And just to let you know that over on Goodreads there is a giveaway for those living in Canada.  I wish I could enter it myself but its not open to me.  I hope that it could be helpful to someone out there.  It closes on May 26th when the kindle release comes out and you can find it on the Goodreads page that I linked above.
