May Wrap Up

Hi all my Bookworms!

My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.

How are you all? I hope you are all ok. I have been struggling a little myself and I hope that anyone who needs it will find this a safe space to be.

I need to start off with two things.

One: this is being posted later than usual because I am writing it today (I know!) rather than scheduling it in advance. I wanted to post my wrap up today, but I usually wait till the end of the month to write it and rather than writing it last night when I should have (I was too tired) I am up early this morning to write it so that means it will probably be published later than usual. Sorry!

Two: Normally on a Monday I post my Bookworm (NOT) in Paris post but it has given up it’s position this one week only in favour of my wrap up. It will be back next week.

Last month for me here on the blog was pretty amazing! My final view count was over 3400. I am over the moon with how many people of you are seeing my work and keep coming back to see some more. About 350 of those views came from one day when Netflix announced the release date for Kissing Booth 2. I didn’t love the book but everyone seems to be coming to see my review even though it was posted back in January. I am really excited to see the film myself because I love the cast and I didn’t hate what Netflix did with the last film.

During the month I have read 11 books! I can hardly believe it myself. I am one book away from my yearly target. I need one more book to reach my goodreads goal. If I am getting through that already, what will I have done by the end of the year? I suspect my reading and posting level will go down once I am finally back to work but I hope not too much.

Those 11 books are:

Play (Stage Dive #2) by Kylie Scott

Goodreads | Waterstones

Lead (Stage Dive #3) by Kylie Scott

Goodreads | Waterstones

Deep (Stage Dive #4) by Kylie Scott

Goodreads | Waterstones

These three books plus the first in the series which I read at the end of April were reviewed together as a series which you can check out here if you haven’t seen it.

Geekerella by Ashley Poston

Goodreads | Waterstones | Review on 18th June

The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper

Goodreads | Waterstones | ARC Review

Catalyst by Tracy Richardson

Goodreads | Review

Darling by Gabrielle G

Goodreads | Review on 13th June

Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams

Goodreads | Waterstones

The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary

Goodreads | Waterstones | Review 11th June

Date Me, Bryson Keller

Goodreads | Waterstones | Review on 6th June

Something to Talk About by Meryl Wilsner

Goodreads | Waterstones | Review 27th June

That is A LOT of books! I can hardly believe that I have read so many books, but that also means that I have a lot of reviews planned for the next month. I will come back and add the links when the posts have gone live so that you can find them easily.

I for once have a bit of a TBR planned out in my head for this month but I am going to see how well I stick to it this month and then next month, if I stick to it, I’ll start publishing a TBR for you.

And one last thing before I go. This blog is nearing 400 followers which is AMAZING! When I started this I wasn’t sure one person would read this, and I would never get past 100 followers. Getting to this point feels amazing. But I always want more! So as a reward to all of you who have been following me for so long I want to say that when I reach 500 followers on my blog I will do a giveaway. It’s a promise. How long it takes for me to do this give away is up to you all. The give away will be up to £15 of books from book depository and I will tweet a big announcement when I start it, so you may want to head over to my twitter to follow me so you don’t miss out!

And on that note … I do believe I am done for today!

So many of my thank yous go out to all of you who follow me and those of you who come back time after time to read my stuff. I would not be here without you all!

Until next time, Happy Reading!

  1. 11 books for a month is amazing! There are soooo many books I want to read but the quarantine has made me SUPER lazy and I cant seem to read more that 5 books a month. Also, congrats on reaching 400 followers! 🙂
