Booktag Friday: Behind The Blogger Tag

Hi all my Bookworms!

My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.

How are you all?

Can you believe I am actually going to do a tag I have been tagged in this week?

This doesn’t happen very often and I want to really thank Leslie over at Books are the New Black. I really recommend you check out their stuff, she has an amazing site.

But I should get down to business.

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Answer all the questions below
  • Pingback to the creator: Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx
  • Nominate 5+ bloggers who you’d like to know more about, to do this tag.

And now down to the questions …

1. Why did you start blogging? And why have you kept blogging?

I don’t know that I had a particular reason for starting my blog. I just wanted a space where I could talk about books. I haven’t done any research on what it meant to be a blogger or part of the blogging community. I have learnt a lot in the year and a half I have been doing this. And for the reason I keep doing this, I love being part of the community. I love reading all these amazing books and I love the sense of accomplishment every time I set and reach a goal I have set myself.

2.What is your favourite type of blog post to write?

My favourite blog post to write are Top Ten Tuesday. I enjoy writing all my posts (or what’s the point of writing them?) but my favourite part, apart from seeing the amazing topics that Jana sets us, is seeing what everyone else is writing and how they are twisting the topic to make it work for them.

3. What are your three favourite blog posts you wrote?

My three favourite posts that I have wrote are:

A Bookworm in Paris: Books, Picasso and Endometriosis

Beyond Books: Beyond Lockdown

Top Ten Tuesday: Reasons Why I Love Bookshops

4. What are some of your favourite things to do to relax?

I have a few things I do to relax, but it depends on what sort or relaxing I need to do.

If I need to relax, in terms of my mental health, I meditate. I use an app called Headspace when I need to and I highly recommend it. I listen to their sleep casts when I need to get to sleep and I haven’t fund a moment that they don’t have a guided meditation for.

Other things I do to relax include, listening to music, walking, photography, reading and writing.

5. What are your three favourite things?

6. What are your proudest blogging moments?

I have a few moments I am immensely proud of.

The first time I got approved for an ARC.

The first time I got over 1000 views in a month.

When I got nominated for the mystery blogger award.

7. What are your hobbies outside of blogging?

Outside of blogging I love to learn languages. I am currently trying to learn Korean and Mandarin while still practice French, Spanish and Italian.

8. Describe your personality in three words.

9. What are your top three pet peeves?

I’m not really sure I have three, or rather I probably do, but I can’t think of any off the top of my head. The only one I can think of is writing in books. That’s what post-it notes are for.

10. What’s something your followers don’t know about you?

I know some sign language. When I was twelve/thirteen I took a level one SSE (sign Supported English) course. I really enjoyed it. SSE isn’t the same as BSL, some of the aren’t the same, but most are. The biggest difference between the two is the grammar. I wish I had stuck with it, but it comes in useful at times.

And who do I nominate:

Asha @ Bad Book Thief | Marrill @ The Wise Witch | Jenny @ JenJen Reviews

Nicki @ Secret Library Book Blog | Kirsty @ Ramblings of the Book Addict

Don’t worry if you don’t want to do it, but I hope you do.

And I tag you! Feel free to have a go if you would like.
