Mini-review: Heartstopper Vol 2 and Vol 3 by Alice Oseman

Hi all my Bookworms!

My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.

How are you all?

I’ve been so excited to write this review ever since I read Heartstopper Vol 1. I never expected to like graphic novels. I’d read a few comics over the years but I was nervous reading a book that was entirely pictures and very few words. But I read the first book in 20 minutes. I devoured it. And I couldn’t wait to read the rest. I even read all of them on Tapas before I bought the books. You can find my review of Vol 1 here.

When my Waterstones delivery arrived I sat and devoured book 2 and 3 in pretty much the same time.

I’m going to keep this short as possible, but I am going to review both books at the same time.

The end of Vol 1 left us all with a cliff hanger, doubting whether our boys would ever be together. It’s not often we see a serial romance like this and despite my love/hate relationship with cliff hangers, I loved this one and I think it is refreshing to have a romance go past one neatly summed up book.

I love the progression of their relationship across all the books and the obstacles they face together and apart. They are a true team and I would love and hate being their best friend being next to such a perfect relationship.

They are the sweetest couple and I love how Oseman has crafted them together. I’d love to be in a relationship like theirs. But isn’t that why we all read romance. To see dream relationships.

I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what Oseman brings us next. She updates her Tapas page on the 1st, 11th and 21st of each month and I check them all as soon as they go up and I squee and sigh and jump up and down at their cuteness.
