Hi all my Bookworms!
My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.
How are you all?
Well, none of you tagged me in a tag in the past week so you are stuck with me doing another post that I haven’t been tagged in. I hope you like it. It definitely looks like an interesting one.
I found this one on The Little Contemporary Corner. I hope you check out their site. It’s pretty good.

Do you judge a book by it’s cover?
I try not to, but I do. An exciting cover that stands out on the shelf will probably make me pick up the book and read the blurb and find out more about the book than a plain one. I know it shouldn’t be that way … but it is.
Focusing on just the cover, what attracts you to pick it up?
Bright colours.
Shiny things.
Glitter.
I sound a bit like a magpie but basically it boils down to an interesting stand out cover. Something that really jumps out at me.
Do you read the synopsis first, or do you prefer to go in without knowing anything about the book?
I read the synopsis when I buy a book, but I have, a maybe unfortunate, habit of not re-reading it before I actually start reading it. It makes the book more interesting.
Do you have any autobuy authors?
Definitely. Any of my regular bookworms will be able to probably guess what author I will put first.
Rick Riordan.
But I do have a few others.
Melody Anne.
Sarah J. Maas.
And a few others.
Are you likely to pick up a book if it included specific elements/themes?
Probably. I like found family and team work and a lot of romance.
Do you ever read a book that has generally negative reviews just to form your own opinion?
I don’t know that I have, but I think that I would if I thought that the book would be worth my time.
Do you ever buy a book because a book blogger or booktuber has talked about it a lot or reviewed it?
Definitely. I buy books that are popular on book twitter all the time. My most recent book twitter buy is Falling in Love Montage by Ciara Smyth.

Is there anyone who’s recommendations you always trust?
I don’t know. My recommendation usually come from a myriad of places so I don’t always know where I got my recommendation from.
Found this really interesting to read! My reasons for picking up a book are very similar to yours! I haven’t read Melody Anne but I’m going to add some books to my TBR list because I love Sarah J Maas and Rick Riordan!

I really recommend her. She writes mostly romance but it’s really light and an easy read.

Rick Riordan is an autobuy author for me too! The stories he writes are always SO fantastic. I also tend to buy a book, read the synopsis and then don’t reread it before starting the book, so I guess that makes two of us. This tag is great!

Glad you enjoyed it! I’ve found that not rereading the synopsis makes for some interesting surprises.
