We might as well face it … we’re addicted to books
We've all talked before about how important it is not to judge a book by it's cover ... and yet we go ahead and do it anyway. Those bold beautiful covers that make them stand out of a shelf and encourage us to investigate a bit closer.
What fictional places have you always longed to go to? Teenage me loved all these places and I still can't wait to go. Send me my letter, let a monster attack me, let me become a spy. I'll even die a honourable death to get myself into Valhalla.
I have been terribly inactive this past week and I've been struggling for a little while before that to keep a regular schedule, but this past week was the first one all year where I didn't manage to post anything.
A new month, means a new topic and this month's topic is entirely inspired by Viper by Bex Hogan. I own the book, but I haven't read it yet. I think I started when I bought it but I need to read it. All the posts this month might inspire me to pick it up again.
I hope that you've all had a good week. Things have been a bit up and down this week so when I remembered that this week's #SixForSunday post was blue and green books I decided to go with just the blue but to include some books (or blurbs of books) that really make me smile.
A lot of the time I wish I had any job but the one I have. Does anyone else do that? Well, when I'm in a wishing mood I turn to literature. I escape into fantasy and I dream of the jobs that my characters have.
This week's topic was books that have made me cry but I'm not a huge crier and I'm not really feeling the list so I came up with another. Series I've started and not yet finished.
This review has been a long time coming. This book was one of the first that I read in 2020 but there were a few things that I wanted to get through first.
