I've been trying to keep track of some interesting books for the next year, but for now I will only start with the first six months of 2021 because I know there will be even more to be excited about.
It's been a while since I last did SixForSunday, which is a weekly bookmeme created by Steph over on A Little But A Lot. She has put up an entire list for January, but there is a lot of cross over between the other weekly things that I already had planned, so I'm going to go back and choose some one that I've missed from last year.
I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet and romantic and everything I love about this genre, but I was very if-y on the beginning.
Now I could be boring you with the same post that I wrote last week because, while I've made plenty of progress on the books that I'm reading, I haven't finished any of them. I don't think I want to bore you with books I haven't finished so I'm going to talk about what I've been watching instead.
I love Greek myths, in particular because of my love of Percy Jackson and I can't wait to get through this one.
This week I want to talk about an LGBTQ book that seemed to have passed my notice last year. I saw it about and I saw other people's reviews of it but for some reason I didn't think about buying it and I didn't think about reading it. I now feel like such an idiot because it may have been the best book I read all year and the fastest book I read this year.
I'm sure you've been reading all about my days out last week on my Bookworm NOT in Paris post, but if you haven't read that I went out to Liverpool on Thursday and spent a good long time in Waterstones. I bought four books that day and had a great time being back in my favourite bookshop.
I hope you all had a good weekend. I've had a pretty slow weekend after a really busy week. I was glad to slow down this weekend and get back in front of the computer and get a lot of writing done.
This week's topic of 'clever' characters took a little brain racking to find just the right characters … but I think I may have made a pretty good list.
Some of you who read my blog regularly will know that last month wasn't brilliant for me.
