I have been terribly inactive this past week and I've been struggling for a little while before that to keep a regular schedule, but this past week was the first one all year where I didn't manage to post anything.
I've got mixed opinions on this books, which you know I'll go into detail in a bit. Part of me thinks I'm being a little harsh with my scoring of this book, but I'm going to stand by it.
One of my favourite things about Hall's work is the variety of people that she includes in her work. She includes people from all walks of life, including a few members of the peerage, and sometimes it feels like she tries to tick off as many members of the rainbow as she can, but I think that is better representation than you'll find in most books.
The characters that Janovsky created are really hard not to fall in love with. There is so much depth to the characters, and I love how they grow and develop through the book. They are really fun and light, but serious and explore heavier matters as the book progresses.
I really enjoyed this book. The pretence of the book reminded me a lot of princess diaries, which takes me back to being about 8 years old a falling in love with my first non-fantasy book. Admittedly it not the same, but it was the hook that got me caught.
I have to say that The Stripey Badger Bookshop is my favourite named bookshop that I've been to so far
I was so excited to read this book but I have very mixed feeling now that I have read it. I hope I've managed to make my thoughts make sense but apologies in advance if they make no sense AT ALL.
I am warning you now. This is going to be a short list.
The second bookshop I visited, on my first full day out Browsing Britain's Bookshops, was Plackitt & Booth Booksellers.
I am so excited to review yet another Lyssa Kay Adams book I have loved all of the books so far and this one was no exception.
