Hi all!
My name is Chiara, and I’m a bookworm.
I think I winter may have really arrived. I mean I’ve been suspecting it for the last week since I can back off holiday, but now I’m certain. Winter has arrived!
Jack Frost even painted the car yesterday! Such lovely patterns and then my dad went and scrapped them all off. I mean I did have to get to work.
Now how is this a bookworm confessional when I’m talking about the weather? (How very British of me!)
You see, with the weather changing I’m finding it harder and harder to find a warm comfy place to curl up with a good book. It takes about about three fluffy layers to get warm (pyjamas, dressing gown and, my personal favourite, my fluffy white blanket).
I miss the cozy little armchair I had on holiday. I curled up there, with my blanket if necessary, and read as the sun rose across the bay. Beautiful! Perfect!
Now I could read in the living room but my dad and brother have the tv on almost constantly. There’s my bedroom, but unfortunately, as much as my bed is very comfortable to sleep on, sitting on it for hours on end gives me a bit of a numb bum. I have a beanbag, but unfortunately it’s starting to show its age. I probably need a new one.
I think I may be complaining over nothing but the essence of this post is that the cold weather has highlighted my need for a better reading nook.
Or maybe I just need a library?
That would solve all my problems!
If you think of any solutions to my complaints, let me know.
Once again, my name is Chiara and I’m a bookworm!
