Hi all my Bookworms.
My name is Chiara and I am a Bookworm.
How are you all?
So today, is, if you weren’t aware, Tuesday. And that means one thing here at Bookworms Anonymous. Top Ten Tuesday.
For those of you who aren’t a regular over here at Bookworms Anonymous Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme originally created by The Broke and The Bookish in 2010 and switched to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. This week’s topic is ‘books I bought/borrowed because …’ and we have to give the reason and for this I chose ‘because I loved the cover.’
First things first, I don’t buy books because I like the cover, but a pretty cover does make a book more appealing.

Ah you have loads of books I really enjoyed here! I hope you enjoy the books as much as you did the covers 🙂

I bought Caraval as well for the same reason! I loved the cover but haven’t got around to reading it yet! Is it worth it? Great list! My TTT is here https://bookloverssanctuary.com/2020/04/07/top-ten-tuesday-books-i-bought-because/

I’ve not read it myself yet. But I hope so.

Totally agree that pretty covers make it more appealing to buy a book! Caraval is one of my favorites, especially since I read it, because the cover is whimsical yet mysterious and it fits the story perfectly!

These are all such beautiful covers! Sometimes beautiful covers don’t mean there’s beautiful writing inside! One of my cover buys is ‘The Deathless Girls’ but I just didn’t like it, it was a really disappointing read for me.

Six of Crows has a striking cover, and I bought it because of all the hype, but I still haven’t read it. Hopefully soon!

How did you like The Selection? I love all the covers in the series. I read them pretty much back to back since I was so late to the game and they were all released!

The first three books were released when I stared reading them in my mid teens and I really liked them but when the next two came out I couldn’t get into and didn’t love them as much.

Buying books based on covers is something I do so often! No shame! hahaha. Most of the time, I’m lucky and it’s also great on the inside. 🙂 Great list!

I have bought books based mainly on the cover but it definitely helps if the premise or blurb also appeals. Six of Crows has an awesome cover, and I love that Catwoman one too!

I ended up really interested in reading Wicked Fox because of the cover.

Oooh, Childredn of Blood and bone is definitely a favourite, but Noughts and Crosses and Catwoman really caught my attention too!

I’d seen Noughts and Crosses with the old cover and never been really tempted to pick it up (that might have a bit to do with my age than just the cover) but with this new cover release I wanted to try it. And I love the Catwoman cover. So simple and understated yet so beautiful.

You have some great covers (and books) on this list. I buy physical copies of Emma Mills’ older books because I love the covers. I also bought the abs additions of Elle Kennedy’s for the same reason. That’s a little more scandalous, though! 😉

I LOVED Six of Crows too! All of these are such pretty covers indeed, I especially also love Everless and Caraval.
